What do you think about?
Many people feel that killing convicted murderers will satisfy their need for justice and/or vengeance. They feel that certain crimes are so heinous that executing the criminal is the only reasonable response.I think that permitting premeditated murder is totally unacceptable, even if committed by the state.
Capital punishment lowers the value of human life as seen by the general population and brutalizes society. It is based on a need for revenge.

I seek for peace but nowhere can I see
The onward path of love to set me free
So peace I ask you now this thought
In the beginning what was it you taught
Once what was peace now lost to mankind
For peoples thoughts have made them blind
And did we learn to love others and care
My friend peace once you were everywhere
I seek for love but it has gone so far away
Only in my memory but that’s another day
So peace I ask you now this thought
In the beginning what was it you taught
Was it to love thy neighbor in this life?
Spread goodwill and have no strife
Learn to give not want to take or steal
My friend peace once you were very real
I seek now for answers peace to my quest
For only you can tell what would be best
So here I stand arms wide full of love
Upon my breast a pure white dove
So peace I ask you now this thought
How can I find that what you taught?
And is there hope for me to find the light
Change people’s minds and make it right
I seek now peace to understand your way
To listen to others what they have to say
Learn to share in thought word and deed
Realize there are those in plight and need
So peace I ask you now hear this my prayer
Help me to spread your word everywhere
Give me the love the things you taught
For peace now you’re in my every thought
