Is there something wrong with me? Of recent, as I become more familiar with the many voices of belief, I grow increasingly concerned. It seems everyone is on a path to create one world, one language, one sex, one.... one.... one...... Though it seems, everyones idea of what oneness is, is different. We're missing the point. The Creator Source is infinitely diverse, and each of its many faces, languages, geographies... are beautiful and worthy of our appreciation.
I understand the spirit of oneness, still, I don't want the world to be homogenous. I love the diversity. Even the diversity of religions (though their followers often tax my patience). I want to travel the lands and seas, and feel the tingle of surprise as I learn something new; see something new; taste something new. I like everything the world is, with one exception: the ignorance. If this weren't true I wouldn't have come back this lifetime. And if you all knew what I know, you would agree, you wouldn't have either.
Maybe you think me arrogant to make such a statement, none the less, I can not deny what I know. Knowledge is that which we experience first hand. Belief is something we are told, but have yet to experience first hand. I use the word "know" in this light.
We have become so beaten. We have forgotten to look through the eyes of our child likeness. A child sees a person of color for the first time and without pause, points and says, "Look, a red man!" The child is delighted with this new sight. It is the parent who feels self consciousness, repressing the child's delight with the projection of their own discomfort. The child speaks of the red man in the same way s/he speaks of a beautiful flower seen for the first time. Who are we to repress this delight? Who are we to question the Creation; to remold it in our homogenous image? The only thing we need to question is ignorance: our own, and that of others. Homogeny is not the path to peace. Love of diversity, is.
I'm so worried with what I see, and hear, and read. Everyone is out there looking for a new truth, when Truth is right under their nose. They seek to save themselves from the end of the world. The world isn't going to end. It's not. I don't care what the prophesies say. I don't care what the scientists say. Their eyes, ears, hearts and minds are filled with fear. This fear is a reflection of the unknown. To make themselves feel more comfortable, they create stories of a future, turning the unknown into a known, so they can calm their uncertain minds. And because they don't really know, all this serves is to provide excuse for giving up. They aren't working toward the preservation of the Earth, or Peace, rather to escape an assumed doom; to pacify fear.
What if I told you, that you are the same person on Earth, as you are in the afterlife, with one exception: you are all knowing? What if I told you, you have it backwards: that this is the dream? What if I told you, all of us come here by choice, separating our self from everything we know (which is everything), with the soul purpose to experience our self in the face of ignorance? What if I told you that when we die it's no different then waking up from a dream; and all that we have experienced, didn't really happen, except in that dream? Would you believe me? Would you be able to accept the fact that all of us are all knowing eternal beings, even the murderers, rapists, greedy and shallow; and we are all here, on a journey, to get to know this thing called ignorance? Could you be satisfied with it being that simple? Could you relax and begin to embrace the journey, complete with all its diversity, and yes, even its conflict?
Release your mind, drop into your heart, and dare to ask yourself if these things might be true. Then listen to the answer. Let go of your need to be right or wrong. Let go of all fears. Dare to ask the question. Dare to hear the truth. And if you dare not, just consider the possibility and ask yourself, if these things were true, who would you be; what would you do; what would you want? Would you fear the end of the world? Would you fear the rapist?
The end of the world is not at hand. As long as there are all knowing eternal humans who wish to dream, the earth will remain in tact. The only thing that is destined to end, is ignorance.
